Greatox Heavy-load AGV Makes Its Debut at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, North America

Release time:2026-05-11

On May 4, the biennial IEEE PES T&D Conference & Exposition officially opened at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, USA. Power equipment manufacturers from all over the world gathered together at this grand event.

Among the many well-known equipment manufacturers, Greatox stood out as a unique presence. We were one of the very few exhibitors showcasing heavy-load AGVs.

The product exhibited by Greatox at this exhibition was an ultra-low-profile heavy-load AGV specially developed for the transportation of large transformers.

Greatox highly integrates servo motors, hydraulic cylinders, reducers, and two wheels into one driving unit. Through a modular approach, AGVs with different load capacities can be assembled.

Greatox AGVs are equipped not only with center-of-gravity monitoring functions, but also with the capability to compensate for center-of-gravity deviation to a certain extent through the hydraulic system. Greatox has fully considered the eccentric load caused by the offset center of gravity of transformers. In the structural design, sufficient eccentric-load redundancy has been provided for the vehicle, ensuring that even large transformers with severe center-of-gravity offset can be transported safely and stably.

Greatox is capable of manufacturing the lowest-profile heavy-load AGVs in the industry. Even a 500-ton payload AGV has a height lower than 420 mm and is equipped with a hydraulic lifting function with a 100 mm stroke. Through a remote-control handle, the vehicle can perform various operation modes such as straight movement, lateral movement, diagonal movement, and in-place rotation. It can fully satisfy the transportation requirements of today’s highest-capacity transformers.

Greatox also applies dual-vehicle synchronization technology, enabling two AGVs to operate synchronously and collaboratively to transport transformers with loads double the capacity of a single vehicle.

The Greatox technical team has been deeply involved in the transformer industry for many years and is highly familiar with transformer production processes and transportation conditions. Therefore, our products have gained recognition from many manufacturers. Through the execution of multiple export orders, we have accumulated extensive experience, especially in AGV packaging, transportation, and export certification. We can ensure that products arrive smoothly at overseas customer factories, and we understand how to avoid damage to AGVs caused by long-distance ocean transportation.

In addition to advanced AGV design technology and excellent product quality, what gives overseas customers the greatest confidence in Greatox is our overseas after-sales service capability. We have established after-sales service centers in Hyderabad (India), Shah Alam (Malaysia), Chicago (USA), and Hanover (Germany). These service centers also maintain a stock of AGV spare parts. We can ensure a rapid response whenever customers require replacement parts, avoiding long downtime caused by emergency spare-part exports from China.

Facing the global market, Greatox is striving not only to manufacture excellent products, but also to provide outstanding after-sales service. Please trust in our products and service capabilities!
